Digital Photography Studio Lights

Studio lights are an important part of setting up your photography studio. Good digital photography lighting will help you capture the images you want. Whether photographing models or still life images it's important to have good light.

There are two types of lights.

• hot lights
• cool lights

Hot lights are tungsten lights. These lights have a lot of power and the amount of light they give off is usually adjustable, but they get quite hot. They can even cause a fire or injury risk if they fall over.

Cool lights are fluorescent or LED lights that are used in studios. They are great because they don't get hot, and they mimic sunlight much better than tungsten lights. They are more commonly used by photographers these days than hot lights.
